I am writing to give you an update on the latest service on offer. I am currently piloting the use of an on-line mentoring/coaching service to support new or existing learning programmes. I have already used the approach for management coaching with great success and now have developed the approach for health and social care learning What is it ? The approach uses an on-line secure coaching website called JigsawBox developed by Nicola Bird. The JigsawBox allows me as a solo coach to develop a programme of on line learning that is unique. As the coach I correspond directly with the coachee/participant, however the programme is driven by the learner. The questions and materials (video downloads, pdfs etc) are on the site in modules and the coachee works through them getting feedback and support from myself. Why is this an important approach? The use of JigsawBox will provide a very valuable alternative to traditional elearning approaches as participants:
How does the approach work? I subscribe to the JigsawBox and develop the materials with you as commissioners.(However there is nothing stopping an organisation purchasing a licence themselves and running their own system- just follow the links at the bottom of the newsletter) The participants/coachees log on creating their own password, only I can see what they have written after they have submitted it. We agree at the outset what information will be shared etc. The learning can be as many or few modules as we agree. In addition for each programme a forum can be created for learners to link up together on line. What about costs? As always I am very competitive with minimal charges for development and then a cost per person based the length of the programme. Prices range from £10 per person for a programme that would take a participant half and hour to an hour complete. Where the mentoring is combined with a training event I am delivering, this approach can be included in a negotiated daily fee. Want to try it ? I have set up a demonstration model for you with just five questions so that you can see the potential. (It does of course require access to the internet) The demo includes use of video however the modules can be purely questions, there is no requirement to use audio/visual in the modules. follow this link: A third of the way down the opening page create your user name and password then take a look at the modules- send me a comment and I'll respond. if you prefer just to buy your own license click on the image. I look forward to hearing from you as I am sure you will recognise the potential for your own organisations. Marion mariondakinassoc@btinternet.com |
